APPLICATION

  1. This Policy is in accordance with and subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
  2. This Policy applies to all personal information collected, used, or disclosed by [NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub]

ACCOUNTABILITY

  1. [NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub] is responsible for the personal information of users under its control and has implemented procedures respecting the retention of users’ personal information, including the minimum and maximum periods of retention of personal information.

PURPOSES

    1. Responding to inquiries (if a response is requested)
    2. Providing additional information on a topic (if requested)
    3. Informing an individual of NWAC activities/opportunities that relate to their sexual and reproductive health (if requested

[NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub] will not use users’ personal information for any of the following purposes, unless required by the law of these policies are amended to permit such uses not less than thirty (30) days prior to such uses and only in accordance with the PIPEDA:
    1. Publication outside of NWAC
    2. Research
    3. E-commerce purposes
  3. [NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub] will not disclose users’ personal information to any third party except for the following purposes, and, where users’ personal information is disclosed to any third party, [NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub] will ensure continued comparable protection for that information through contractual obligations. The purposes for which [NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub] may disclose users’ personal information to a third party are:
    1. Required by law;

[NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub] will document the purposes for which personal information of users is collected and will, upon request, provide to a user their personal information collected by [NWAC’s Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Knowledge Hub] and the purposes of the collection of their personal information.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Depending on the request, administrative fees may be applicable.

SAFEGUARDS
